Is it November yet?

The month of October has been super busy for us! We have had lots of fun and have seen lots of fun people, but we are exhausted. Clayton even took a sick day on Monday just to stay home and clean the house. Isn't that an awesome husband! Here are some pictures of the last couple of weekends.

Camille and Brooke enjoying the parade. Camille loved it! She sat so still in Brooke's lap the entire time! She can't wait to be a squig and march down Campus Court.

This past weekend, Clayton's parents came to town to help celebrate Camille's birthday. Friday they took Camille and I to ride the train and then to the Fort Worth Zoo! Camille had a blast! Too bad daddy had to work and didn't get to enjoy it with us.

This is how she rode the majority of the ride...right on the edge of my knees and loving every minute of it!
Camille and Bubbie on the train.
Camille and Poppa at the zoo.
Here are pictures of Camille's pumpkin birthday party! She had so much fun playing with family and friends and enjoying her orange cupcake! This was her big gift from Clayton and I. She is waiving bye to her cousin Preston. She just loves getting in and out of it over and over. She's real cute now when she carries her new cell phone and keys around with her!
She definitely enjoyed her cupcake. It deserved a two-handed shove into the mouth.
Kisses, anyone?
This was the dessert table and the pumpkin cake I made. I was pretty nervous about it, but was pretty proud afterwards.
A few posts back, I mentioned that my parents were celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary this month. Brooke and I (with the help of our aunt and friends) threw them a reception this past Sunday. It was so much fun! The topper on their cake is the actual topper they used at their wedding. She also had their unity candle, an invitation and a napkin from their wedding. It was funny to hear all the stories people were sharing. I was their flower girl and the memory I have is crying because someone messed up my mommy's car. People had shoe polished it and I didn't like it at all. P.S. If you haven't ready my 100 things, that will explain why I was almost 3 when they got married. Congrats Mom and Dad!

Happy Birthday Camille!

At 4:59pm, Camille will be officially be 1 years old! I can't believe it! I have been thinking the last couple of days of what we were doing this time last year. The last few days of pregnancy and all the anxiety that brought. I was so anxious to find out what she looked like! This year has flown by and has been so much fun to be a part of her life. I am so thankful that the Lord chose Clayton and I to raise her. She has been such a good baby and has been so healthy! We are so thankful! She really makes me nervous to have another baby because (most) everything has gone so smoothly with her. Here are pictures of her each month this past year.

Yes, she is trying to pull out her bow in this picture! We are still working on keeping bows in her hair. She is getting better, but she just wasn't feeling it at 7am this morning. Clayton and I both went in her room together to wake her up this morning by singing "Happy Birthday" to her. She is usually standing in her crip with her arms straight out waiting for us to pick her up. When we were singing, she sat completely still in her crib and looked at us like we were crazy. She is walking ALL over the place and has now learned to even stand up without using something to pull up on. It was pretty hard keeping up with her this weekend at ACU. She has lots of new sounds and is finally saying "Mama" along with "Dada", "Nana", "See, See" and other silly sounds.
Happy Birthday Sweetheart!

Surprise!

I had a awesome birthday weekend! Clayton had a TASP conference in Austin Friday and Saturday so we both took Friday off from work and went to Austin Thursday night. Friday morning Delana, Lisa and I took all 5 of our kids to a pumpkin patch for pictures! We ALL fit in Delana's Sequoia. It took us atleast 30 minutes to load up the first time and to figure out which 3 carseats would fit together in the back seat. I'm sure people were laughing when we had to pull out an upright carseat everytime we had to get kids in or out. Lisa got some great pictures! Check out her website: Now and Then Photography

Saturday Delana invited us to the Hairy Man Festival. I kind of thought it was a joke at first. But, it really does exist and they actually have a contest (we didn't take part in that though). The kids enjoyed a pony ride, train ride and petting some llamas.

Clayton has a hard time keeping secrets, so I knew something sneaky was going on behind my back. He had planned a surprise birthday party in downtown Austin at Spaghetti Warehouse Saturday night. All his family was there and one of my sweet friends, Annalee and her husband, Evan. It was a pretty crazy dinner with 5 kids all at the table. I hope we didn't terrify Evan and Annalee! I hate that we didn't get any pictures of this! I was trying to dig for my camera as Camille was trying to wiggle out of my arms an hour past her bedtime. It just wasn't happening! It was a fun birthday dinner!

Camille really enjoyed playing with her cousins and actually being able to attempt to keep up with them. She had plenty of room at Bubbie and Pa's house to practice those walking skills. She is going all over the place! Being in Austin with all the kids makes me jealous we aren't closer to them.

Then, Monday was actually my birthday! Monday night I always go to a girl's bible study. Well, when I arrived last night, there wasn't a bible study, but another surprise! Heather had invited lots of friends over, planned games, had a cookie cake and even bought presents! She's the best hostess! It was so fun to get together with all those girls and wrap up like mummies! I will post pictures when Heather emails them to me.

Even though I'm creeping up on 30, it was a pretty fabulous birthday! Thanks to all my friends!

Weekend News

Last weekend we went to Camille's friend, Earl 5's half-birthday party! It's always fun to see our FB friends. They had a great idea at cake time. Everyone had a cupcake with a lit candle in it. They video-taped as everyone went around and made a wish for Earl. That will be fun to watch again in several years. This picture is right before we left. They are both in their pj's and ready for bed.
We had a pretty good (long) weekend! My sister decided at the last minute to come stay with us Saturday and Sunday. Clayton and I had planned a date night on Saturday so she got to babysit Camille. (Sorry, WH!) She loved it except that Camille went to bed at 7:30! She really didn't have her to herself for very long. Camille MUST be growing a lot right now because she is needing much more sleep than normal. Mom and dad came home from their wonderful cruise Sunday so Brooke stayed around and suprised them at the airport! It was so fun to have Brooke around and to have mom and dad back in Texas again! I missed not getting to talk to my mom everyday just about the silly things going on everyday. They had lots of fun stories and pictures to share!I had the day off Monday for Columbus Day, but Clayton didn't. Our plan was that he was going to call in sick and we would take Camille to the State Fair for the first time. Well, it didn't go quite as planned. He did call in sick alright! He spend all night and all day on the couch with a stomach bug. I know God was trying to say something...uh, maybe to always be honest! So Camille and I took care of Clayton all day and enjoyed a lazy day.
