Nana and Grandad's house

This picture is so funny to me. This is my dad's new toy. Camille is thinking, "Should I go even though mommy told me not to?"
I've been meaning to post pictures of Camille's first time at Nana and Grandad's house all by herself. On Wednesday last week, we decided to let her stay at their house for the first time bc Clayton and I each had different things going on. I was VERY, VERY nervous about being away from her mainly because she is still nursing a few times a day...and I had never been away from her that long. Her and I went to my mom's office last Friday to show off her walking skills to mom's co-workers. When we got there, she went straight for Nana and didn't even want me! She acted like she knew what was going on the whole time. Just before I left my parents house I was giving her some hugs and kisses and she was just kissing all over my face and giving me big hugs! She was being so sweet! Once I got in the car, I called Clayton and just started boo-hooing. I knew she was being well taken care of...but she's still my baby girl! Well, she did AWESOME! Mom said she never cried, went to bed very easily and drank her milk with no fuss. She just had a blast! It looks we'll be taking advantage of that more often!

My mom and dad are on vacation now celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary! They were on the Today Show this morning and I will try to post a clip of it when I figure it out. Please pray for them as they are traveling through next Sunday.

This is what happens to Camille's hair when she gets out of the bath tub. I thought it was funny so we took a picture!

Friday Night Football and First Steps

Friday night we cheered for another high school team. Clayton and I aren't die-hard fans of any one football team around here, so we like to make our rounds. This week we went with friends from church to cheer on the Northwest Texans and Coach Hendrix. The night was filled with dinner with friends, sitting amongst middle schoolers, lots of little ones, toys, tattoos, snacks, and the football game. We didn't make it quite as long as the week before, but Camille still enjoyed cheering on the Texans! We also had a HUGE first today! Camille took her first steps! She has really been moving around fast lately and walking all over the place while holding on to something. We have been working hard on standing by herself lately, but today she suprised us both! She is still definitely pretty unsure about herself, but she did take multiple steps several different times. This video is pretty funny because she takes a few steps and then twists and rolls onto her back. After a few seconds, she bursts out laughing. She's adorable and growing too fast!

Camille and my Classroom

Camille has found another new love...her paci! She took a paci for about her first 2 months and then had NO interest in them. Last week in a panic to find anything to help with naptime, I pulled out a paci to see what she would do. She is definitely not attached to them but she loves carrying them around, chewing on them and ocassionally sucking on it the right way. This is her ghetto paci look. Here are some pictures of my classroom. I am still loving my job and having so much fun with my 22 kiddos. Right now, we are not over our max number because of some students that never showed. So...we will not be adding another teacher right away until we are all consistently at 22 in every class. Thank you for an answered prayer!

And here is Camille wearing my red necklace. This was right before we headed to the Fort Worth Christian vs Dallas Christian football game last Friday night. Camille would much rather wear my necklace than her red bow to support the Cardinals. She actually wore it all the way there and had a tight grip on them. She did great all through the game and we made it until about half way through the fourth quarter. She loves football...or maybe the cheerleaders.
We do have another huge praise! I found the trick to get her to drink milk....strawberry syrup! She loves it! I have also gone back to baby food for the vegetables. So far we have had sweet potatoes and tomorrow we will be having squash. We have to get those veggies in some how!

I have been tagged so I will be posting my 100 things about me soon.

Oh Happy Day!

Camille's new favorite thing to eat is Cheetos! We're having a hard time lately getting anything besides yogurt and fruit down our child! Any advice for a child who refuses milk and/or most veggies?

Thank you to everyone who posted a comment on my last post. As of now, we still haven't heard anything from administration, but I am going to try really hard to stay part-time. Camille had an awesome day on Friday and in a way I felt like it was God's way of reminding me how precious my time with her is and the main reason I took a part-time job in the first place. Please pray that the administration will be recieving to this idea as well. Back to Camille's awesome day...I actually walked in to her playing and having a great time. She even got back down and played some before we left. This had NEVER happened before in fear that I was going to leave her again. She also took a 2 hour nap that morning! It was a huge step in the right direction! Let's pray that after the 3 day weekend, Tuesday won't be a step backwards.

Friday afternoon my mom called because she "thought we might want to come see them." So we went to their house and spent Friday night at their house. We got up Saturday and went to First Monday! I love that place. We came home with a Longhorn dress for Camille, an "Always Kiss Me Goodnight" sign for our bedroom, a red necklace and some new bows for Camille. We came home Saturday evening and went to some friends houses on Sunday and Monday night.
