I'm behind!

I officially have 246 posts to read of Google Reader! I feel like I'll never catch up at this rate. One night I'll get under 200 and then next I'm right back up.

Update on the potty: Camille's has pooped in the potty 2 times! That's 2 less dirty diapers I've had to change! Yeah!

TeeTee in the Potty!

About a month ago I purchased a potty for Camille because when she would see us use the restroom, she would say, "potty, potty". So I bought it but did not push anything. She has sat on that thing so many times and...nothing. Yesterday I went to the restroom and she says, "potty", so I take off her diaper and sit her down. Then I hear the music! I yell for Clayton to come in there and we made a huge deal about it! I couldn't believe she just sat down and teeteed! I know it is probably a fluke deal, but it was her first teetee in the potty! We were so excited! She wouldn't sit back down for a picture, so here's the picture of the potty (and teetee).

Labor Day

Last Monday, our family of 3 went to NRH2O for Labor Day. We had a blast! I had heard that it was a great place for kids, but I wish I had taken Camille earlier. We're sad the season is over now. We will definitely be looking into season passes next year. We arrived just before it opened and we were glad we did. We got front row parking and saved $16 on admission. There was a season pass holder selling some free admission tickets for $10. I know he shouldn't be doing that, but we got a great deal and he earned some money. I thought it was pretty smart of him. We took in our own cooler with lunch and many snacks. What we loved most of all about the water park was that Camille could ride a lot of the rides. They had two kiddie areas. Our favorite was Frogstein's Splashatory with several different body slides. Camille could ride all of the slides with her life jacket. Clayton and I even enjoyed the slides! There was one slide that Camille didn't go down because it was pretty steep, but we enjoyed it. Camille's favorite ride of the day was the Double Dipper. It was outside of the kiddie areas. It was a double innertube slide that was pretty fun. Camille was too little to fit in the tube so we just sat her in between the two holes and held on tight. She LOVED it! When the ride was over she was upset that we had to hand our tube to the next person. We rode that ride atleast 3 times.
Here's Camille and Daddy just about to take off and have some fun! Here she is laying back and enjoying her lunch. This is another picture that was on my camera that I never but on my blog. Camille loves exercising with her daddy. Clayton would do push-ups on these bars and breath hard each time. Then, we looked down and she was doing her push-ups and breathing hard. She also likes to do crunches on daddy's AbWorks.

A Whirlwind

I have been caught in a whirlwind it seems lately. The last 2 weeks have been very exhausting as I have gone back to school/work. I have neglected to update my job situation on my blog...so here's where I am these days. Last I had mentioned, I had been moved from my original school last year to a brand new school in our district...still teaching part-time kindergarten. Just before Memorial Day I got a call that their numbers weren't as high as expected and that they were cutting my section of kindergarten...again! That was a stressful day for me and the next Tuesday I was offered another part-time kindergarten job at another school just around the corner from home and my original school. Thank You, Lord! I was excited but aprehensive that I would actually stay there. I was waiting until later in the summer to move ALL my things over just in case something else changed. Well, it did. I got a call from my new principal late July saying that their numbers were high and I had an opportunity to go full-time or share my room with another teacher. I first opted to share...part-time was just too good. But then, I (and Clayton) began talking about the idea of going back full-time. Since Camille had begun taking 1 nap in the afternoon between 2 and 3 hours, she would be sleeping the majority of the time we were together in the afternoons. We decided together to make the change. I called my principal back and told her I would work full-time. We grew even more and hired another K teacher on the 3rd day of school. And...my original school has 25 students in each class right now and are hoping to get another teacher. That was my biggest fear - moving away from a place I loved and eventually being replaced because numbers went back up. I am confident I am where the Lord wants me and that there is a reason for my move...once again. I have 42 students between both classes and they are all wonderful! It has been a much greater adjustment this week to working a full day. I come home exhausted, wanting to spend time with Camille and Clayton and needing to cook dinner. I did not cook dinner this week, enjoyed a NICE bubble bath and missed my baby girl so much! She cried the first 4 days of Staff Development but is now back to loving being at Nenna's! I have never looked forward to the weekend as I did this week. Labor Day fell perfectly. We enjoyed family time, relaxation and rest. The three of us went to NRH2O today and had a blast! Pictures to come soon....promise!
