Clayton and I are back from our wonderful trip to Playa Del Carmen! It was wonderful with some interesting stories to tell. This was where we had our honeymoon 5 years ago so it was fun to reminice on those memories and how our life has changed in 5 short years. We went with Clayton's sister, Delana, and her husband Nathan, Clayton's brother, Adrian, and his wife Lisa. It was a no-kids trip and it was wonderful! We talked about them often and were ready to see them on Wednesday, but it was great for all of us to get away alone! Our adventure began on Saturday morning. We had a lay over in Mexico City with an hour and a half in between. It was just like the movies! Our flight was supposed to leave at 4:50 and we were RUNNING through the airport at 4:50 trying to get to our plane! This was one of the first moments we were thankful we didn't have our children with us. We finally made it took a fairly bumpy ride to Cancun. We made it to our hotel that evening around 9pm. Adrian and Lisa had traveled from San Antonio and had arrived several hours before us. Once we got there, there were no more rooms available. They upgraded us to the 5 star resort just down the road instead! YAHOO! Adrian and Lisa were at the original hotel until the next morning when they transferred them as well.
Our days pretty much included breakfast, beach, a little rain, lunch, beach, shopping, dressing up for dinner, people watching, talking about our children and some "fun" times. The beach was beautiful and the waves were pretty big! On Tuesday morning, the girls had massage appointments while the guys went to get mopeds (sp?). We all went riding into town and had a blast!
On Tuesday evening we all went to dinner together for an Italian meal. We were stuffed after salad, bread, soup, pasta, main entree and dessert! Here Lisa was taking "real" pictures with her camera. That is why we aren't looking at the camera. It is also kind of blurry because it was so humid.
